The Golden Arches are going upscale for their European customers; Mcdonald's is the biggest chain retaurant and has maid some of the most extreme overhals of all time. More than 20 yrs with its franchisees, the global franchise has spent more than 600 million euros($828 million), remodeling 1,280 European restaurants since 07. Introducing healthier foods and items that cater to regional tastes, like caffe lattes.

Hoping to attract more young adults and professionals by adding amenities like Internet access and rental iPODS. Combined sales at Europe's 6,400 restaurants rose 15%, to $4.1 billion, compared with a 6% increase in the United States(where McDonald's has 13, 800 restaurants and sales totaled $3.9 billion.....YEAH that makes me good). The strength of European currencies helped, but even without our drowning dollar, European revenue is rising in real terms than revenue in the United States(isn't that scary). The chain now serves over 10 million customers a day in Europe, which contributes 36% to the company's operating income, making it the most profitable region, after the economy shrinking United States.

After refurbishment, on average, sales increased 4.5% at the upgraded restaurants in France. The new outlets were so successful that three yrs ago Mr. Hennequin(look him up dumb ass) was asked to do the same for the rest of Europe. The designs range from "purely simple," with minimalist decor on neutral colors, to "Qualite," featuring large pics of lettuces and tomatoes and gleaming stainless steel kitchen utensils, like meat grinders. In Britain, McDonald's restaurant started to serve porridge for breakfast. In Portugal, they offer soup and in France, cheese saga - burgers with French cheeses.

"WE would like to stay true to our roots while moving forward," - Mr. Hennequin
This means the trademark golden arches logo in Europe stayed but the red was pushed aside. Restaurants featured a warm burgundy color. The pointy roofs are being phased out and replaced by simple olive green facades, and the bright neon lights in the restaurants were dimmed.
-French fries and cheeseburgers remain in the best sellers on the menu-

The United States is trying to catch on like renovating about 6,00 of its "13,800" restaurants in the last three yrs. Of coarse they're less extensive than Europe(because we're to worried about smashing the fries into our faces) some analysts say the new design works better in Europe than United States, where we are to fat and lazy to walk in and set down or just take it home.
AND THIS HABITS WONT CHANGE......WE let our products go across sea's and leave us behind. Why; because to many Americans take their freedoms and great services for granted.
-And people wonder why I live my life the way I do-
